container planting | a garden workshop with the itinerant gardener | june 6th

We hope you’ll join us in La Poste’s pretty herb garden - under the shade of our big umbrellas - for our very first garden workshop! Today, we welcome The Itinerant Gardener! We will learn all about container planting during this fun demonstration of three types of container plantings: a formal topiary container, a container focused on pollinator plants, and a container full of our favorite green and white plants! Following, there will be a planting Q&A and a raffle where some lucky guest will win the planter created!
Guests will be greeted with a cold beverage.After class, we will enjoy a festive glass of one of our favorite chilled wines, alongside complimentary nibbles.
A little about the Itinerant Gardener: The Itinerant Gardener is a family business run by Mary T. Dial along with her daughter, India Dial, and daughter in law, Morgan Dial. We offer gardening and landscape design services of every level, from seasonal container + small bed planting to full-scale digital plans and renderings of residential and commercial landscapes, hardscapes, outdoor kitchens, and pools. We also offer seasonal holiday decorating, with a large focus on Christmas. We work all over the Carolinas with home bases in Columbia, SC, Charleston, SC, Charlotte, NC, and Cashiers, NC, though we're willing to travel anywhere within reason and are always happy to do virtual consultations! + Cooking classes and creative workshops are always small, hands-on + laid-back. Cooking classes always focus on what’s local + in season, and culminate with a festive, shared meal.
+ Once purchased, your class or workshop tuition is non-refundable, but you may have someone attend in your place if you are unable to attend.
+ If the class or workshop must be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances on the part of la poste, you will have the choice of scheduling a new class or workshop or receiving a complete refund.
+ la poste is surrounded by grassy and gravel areas, steps, and changes in elevation. Please dress appropriately for your chosen event. comfortable footwear is always recommended and checking the forecast to help with clothing choice is essential.
+ I apologize, but La Poste is housed in a historic building and the kitchen can only be accessed by a small set of stairs to the second floor.
